How to Register with the SIP Center SIP Application Server

1. If you haven't already registered for an account on the proxy server do so now from here.

2. Set your UA's outbound proxy as sip.sipcenter.com.

3. Your to & from address must be sip:sipcenterXXXX@sipcenter.com. [XXXX will represent the account number you will receive from the proxy administrator]

4. Your contact address will be sip: [username]@[your IP address]

5. Your IP address must be a public address. If you are behind a company firewall then that firewall must be SIP-enabled. For testing we recommend using a dial-up connection to the internet or any other public IP address.

6. MSN messenger does not currently support digest Authentication as per http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc2617.txt. So currently MSN messenger UA cannot register with the Sip Center's Proxy.
